Nehanda aims to empower black women educationally, socially and
culturally to enable their full participation in society.

We organise and facilitate educational, social and cultural activities, which are of benefit to women of African and African-Caribbean descent in the London Borough of Enfield. We also network with other local and national organisations to enhance skills sharing and improve service delivery.

Nehanda Black Women’s Organisation is a registered charity committed to the promotion and development of self-help initiatives for women. We organise and facilitate educational, social and cultural activities, which are of benefit to women of African and African-Caribbean descent.We also network with other local and national organisations to enhance skills sharing and improve service delivery.We organise and facilitate a range of specialist activities and projects, for example:

Health awareness / promotion seminars

Personal Development Workshops
(Confidence Building, Stress Management, Assertiveness)

Career Development Seminars

Parenting Courses

Counselling Sessions

Black History Courses & Events

Social events eg. poetry evenings & quiz nights

Our activities aim to build participants’ skills, knowledge and confidence. Childcare costs are available to parents attending our activities (please ring for information).
